A lot of people ask us about saving money with cloth diapers, and the thing that most often comes up is the electricity used when drying them. We at Sunshine Diapers have always been advocates of drying on the line (weather permitting of course), but some people have concerns about whether it’s legal or not, as a lot of homeowners associations say they don’t allow clothes being dried outside the home on lines. Well, I read this article about the subject today, and thought I’d post it. It’s from a relatively local source here in Florida (Jacksonville). If anyone out there has had an experience with line drying with neighborhood associations, or line drying in general, we’d love to hear about it. Our residential neighborhood actually has a stated provision for clotheslines, which is nice, allowing them only if they are screened from view of the other residents.
Here’s a link to an analyst legal report I found on Google:

A site I follow quite a bit, Geekdad, has an article today about cloth diapering. They mention Bumgenius among the choices. It’s great to see cloth diapers being mentioned on more and more sites these days, especially on sites like Geekdad.
